Donation's?
We are a non-profit charity that holds yearly fundraisers in Eglinton Park. The fundraiser is supported by the nine chair members, where people whom live with Schizophrenia, are given donations via "Schizophrenia Society of Canada" ranging from five dollars to one hundred thousand dollars. This fundraising event includes a large barbecue, soccer, football, "picnic games", etc. The goal of these games is to get the victims of this mental illness moving, and thinking to increase their awareness for the disease. The event is held every year on July 3rd and raises nearly $40,000 towards Schizophrenia research.
The biggest fundraiser we will have will be the Mental Illness Concert which will include Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, Pete Wenz (Fall Out Boy) and two speakers whom suffer from Obsessive Compulsive Order; Cameron Diaz, and David Beckham. Molson Canadian, Bell TV, Rogers TV, and Mental Health Canada, will cover the event. Bell and Rogers have agreed to a sponsorship where every text, someone sends that day will donate ten cents to the cause of mental health, to help those will mental illness, especially Schizophrenia.
We also have an online portal in which you can donate any-time, and if you would like you can host your own events. You're invited to host your own fund raising events in support of SSC. Additional information and help is available. Submit the Event Intake Form below to get started. If you would like to speak with an SSC staff member to discuss the various option available to make a contribution to SSC or SSC Foundation please contact Viola Healey at 204-786-1616 or email info[at]schizophrenia.ca
